Individual Therapy
$200 per 50 minute session
I am not currently an in-network provider with insurance companies. In some cases, you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment. I will provide a super bill (a detailed receipt) each month that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
If you choose to utilize Out of Network benefits, here are some useful questions to ask your insurance company prior to beginning sessions:
Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
What is my out-of-network deductible? How much of my deductible has been met this year?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone
out-of-network?What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
How much will I be reimbursed for a 50 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?
How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement? How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
FAQS
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes. I reserve a limited number of openings in my schedule for those with demonstrated financial need. Please contact me if you’d like to inquire about one of these spots. (Please note, all sliding scale spots are currently full at this time).
What happens during the consultation call?
I offer a free 15-minute phone call prior to meeting to answer any questions you have and see if we’re a good fit for working together. During this call, I’ll ask you to tell me a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll tell you a bit more about myself, and give you a chance to ask any questions you have. If we both feel like it’s a good fit, we’ll discuss logistics (scheduling, etc) and set up an initial appointment. If either of us feel that you would be better served by another provider, I’ll be sure to provide referrals.
Are all sessions online, or will we meet in person?
All sessions are held online, via a HIPAA compliant platform. Prior to each session, you’ll receive an appointment reminder and Zoom link.
What should I expect for the first session?
I’ll send you a few brief forms to fill out before we meet. During our initial session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your past experiences and history, and goals for moving forward. After the initial 1-2 sessions, we can really hit the ground running and begin working to meet your goals!
What is your cancellation policy?
I request 24 hours advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice, barring an emergency, will incur a $75 charge. If you do not notify me about a cancellation (ie a “no-show”), my full session fee will be charged.
How often will we meet?
In the beginning of treatment, I encourage weekly sessions. This helps us gain momentum and begin making progress towards your goals. As you begin feeling more confident, we can discuss the most appropriate schedule for you.
Do I have to live in Massachusetts to see you?
Yes. Due to state licensing laws, clients must be physically located in Massachusetts at the time of each session.
Do you only work with women?
No! While many of my clients identify as female, I have experience and currently work with individuals of all gender identities and ages.
